If you are currently without adequate shelter for you and your family you should contact your local Information and Referral Service hotline immediately (by calling 211 in Lee County) for the most up to date local resources. You can also visit 211 ONLINE. Also contact with the local Lee County Homeless Coalition on the web or call 239-533-7900 as soon as possible during normal business hours.

Green Book (Local Resource Guide) - A "pdf" version of local resources for homeless individuals and families. This booklet is maintained by volunteers of the Lee County Homeless Coalition in partnership with DHS staff. Feel free to print, download, or search this document by keyword (to enter your desired keyword, "save" a copy of the pdf to your computer, open it, click "Edit" then "search" from the drop-down menu)

24 Hour Information and referral - When calling 211 from a non-cellular non coin-operated telephone you will be able to speak with a live operator 24hrs a day 7 days a week.  When visiting 211 on the web you will access to same up to date resource information that a live operator would be able to provide.

Abuse Counseling and Treatment - If you are in need of shelter due to an abusive situation call their 24-hour crisis line (239) 939-3112

Targeted Special Needs Resources - Information on programs such as (LIFT) Living Independently for Today; designed to provide case management and the initial funding required to access affordable housing for eligible individuals/families unable to lift themselves out of homelessness, and (HOPWA) Housing Opportunities for People With AIDS; designed to either prevent people with AIDS from becoming homeless or to assist them to secure stable housing, can be found here.
