Effective immediately, Lee County Human Services’ rehabilitation program will stop providing bid preference to Section 3 certified contractors until further notice.
At this time, all jobs will be awarded to the lowest most responsible bidder. It is necessary to obtain formal approval from the Board of County Commissioners in order to provide bid preference to Section 3 certified contractors. At this point, we are in the process of obtaining this approval.

Lee County needs more WAP Certified contractors.

The weatherization program identifies areas of major energy loss within the home, and makes structures weather-tight through minor necessary repairs including insulation; weather-stripping; caulking; replacing door thresholds and broken window glass; heating and cooling units.

Upon completion of these steps please send a copy of your Florida Weatherization Assistance Program Contractor Training Certification, proof of POI Insurance, and Lead Certification to the Lee County Department of Human Services. You will then be placed on the waiting list for our upcoming contractor’s workshop, where you will learn how to stay up to date on open bid opportunities, bid on jobs, and complete jobs.

Contractor Invoices
All invoices must reflect the dates of work completed for a given time period.
Please include the dates on all future invoices as shown in the example:
For Work Completed From: 2/27/12 to 3/2/12
Also, be sure to include the appropriate Purchase Order number
on your invoices so that payment will not be delayed. Thank you.
