If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents to assist people in our community, here are a few areas where we can use your help:

Partnering For Results Review Panel

The Lee County Board of County Commissioners is seeking applications from residents who are interested in being considered for appointment to the Lee County Human Services Partnering for Results (PFR) Proposal Review Panel.

The PFR Review Panel is an advisory committee which evaluates proposals from non-profit organizations seeking funding through a competitive, Request for Proposals process.  The committee makes funding recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners.

Persons interested in serving on this review panel must commit to attend all meetings during the designated months. Meetings are usually held weekly during the months of June, July, and August.  If you have questions regarding this panel, or for more information, please contact Deanna Gilkerson-Carpenter at (239) 533-7918 or e-mail her at  DGilkerson@leegov.com.  To apply for this volunteer opportunity, please click here for: PFR Review Panel Member Application.doc

Accountability Boards - Restorative Juvenile Justice

Community members participate in Restorative Justice conferencing with victims, offenders, and their families in order to repair harm. Volunteer Accountability Board Members participate in this consensus building process, focusing on three main principles: community safety, competency development, and offender accountability, resulting in a time-limited case plan to restore the victim.
